Because of that being weaker by selecting gear with MF over power is less detrimental to you in D2 vs. PoE. Therefore, you can be greedier in D2 with MF vs. PoE when it comes to gear selection.

There is no evidence to support that MF or increase of player characters has anything to do with essence drop rates. I'll put the drop rates below in case you want them.
